Can Tanagawa not be the leader of the OL as a guard and let the guy that was on the Rimington watch list pre-season handle the snaps? Fuck!

Yeah, I know pre-season awards list aren't the end all be all, but it means at least he had a decent season last year.

The dumbest part was that Criste was playing RG. I understood moving Tanigawa to C to get your 5 best lineman in, but if Criste is already on the field, move him to center so the snapping issues improve.

Seemed like Criste had a pretty decent game at RG too. I didn't notice him getting beat or embarrassed.

Criste is literally the worst Husky OL I've ever seen. Worse than Ossai. Wore than Greg Christine.

Erik Kohler at RT in 2011 is the worst lineman. Nick Wood at guard in 2010 a close second.

There were 60 fucking centers on the preseason Rimington Award watch list. That's basically every returning starting center in the nation. It doesn't mean shit.

This is like when doogs say the OL was better under Sark because we had 3 all-conference lineman last season. They don't like to mention they were honorable faggot mention and there were 75 players in the conference that were honored with that meaningless horse cum. Half the fucking conference was all-conference which means it amounts to exactly fuck shit to be an honorable mention, just like being on the preseason Rimington Award watch list.

Strausser is a clown. Criste may have been completely average last year, but he was definitely better than Tanigawa, who is complete trash. Fuck this offensive staff.

FWIW, we're doing man blocking now instead of zone blocking, so he might have been slow in transitioning to the new scheme.

But you're right, Tanigawa is an awful center and not just the snaps. The OL has been terrible on picking up the blitz this year, and it's up to him to identify it, make the calls to adjust and then actually defend the blitz.
