Cal's the bell weather team for me in the conference from which I measure how we can perform against others.

That's pretty stupid. The 31-7 game should have been a lot closer and was easily the best performance of the season. The Shaq 100 yard TD return was a 14 point swing by itself.

I look at it from the stand point that we are about 10-14 points better than Cal - they have a relatively soft defense (but better than some left on our schedule) and an offense that can exploit some of our defensive weaknesses.

IMO cal's actually playing consistent week in and week out - nothing more or less

Could we see a repeat of the 2005 offensive dreckfest where a plucky OSU team kicked 6 field goals to outscore the Doogs in a 18-10 thriller?

    Cal sucks.

The thing is they haven't scored less than 31 points all season, except for the loss to Washington.

And it isn't against total cream puffs ... Arizona, UCLA, Oregon.

On the flip side ... their defense is pretty soft. Washington put the least amount of points up against them.

Cal drove to the 1 inch line and dropped the ball untouched. Then fumbled again untouched and gave up. The results of that game were beyond meaningless

Every win and loss is beyond meaningless this season.

Peterman is putting in his system.

I really don't give a fuck this year. It's clear to me he can recruit ... there is clear development with key players ... and he is a proven winner.

I'll judge next more harshly and he better be winning by year three.

This is a meaningless fucking season.
    Amen, dnc.

Doogs lacking perspective take notice ...sunnyand85, purpledawgfan, HuskyClaus, Aaaaaaandy... et al.

    Cal's ranked too high.

We're about 10-14 points better than Cal ...

Cal and Colorado went to OT ...

We beat Colorado on the road by 15 ...

    Cal hung close with UCLA

Cal should have beat Arizona soundly ...

UCLA just beat Arizona comfortably in an ugly game ...

I expect that we have a good shot against both UCLA and Arizona ...

Cal beat Oregon State ... Cal beat the Cougs ...

I expect that we'll beat both (one at home and one with Halliday dead).

3-1 should be viewed as being very realistic ...

And we SHOULD have a nice home field advantage next weekend - lots to be mad about on the UCLA sideline.

I am guessing 2-2* the final four games.

Arizona and UCLA will be tough games.

Arizona is on the road ...

UCLA has a tough fucking defense that will shut our special needs offense down.

*This puts Washington at 8-5 ... making Kim and his legions of fucktards point to how much better of a coach Sark was than Peterman ...

    LOL

The ol auburndoog transitive property logic.

What you forgot to list above was the 94 times the last two seasons that the auburndoog transitive property didn't work out the way it 'should' have.

I won't even get into the stupidity of having a "good shot" against UA. One of these days ucla is going to actually show up for one of your games in Seattle, the way they used to.......might be this year, so I wouldn't be so confident about a "good shot" against them either.

If we want to play Transitive Property Football, I suggest we use analysis like this for Pop Warner or high school teams.

Shit like this doesn't pencil out in college or the NFL.
