I remember when the cuogs were decent that one year, they strolled into Autzen to face #7 ranked Oregon fresh off a big win over Michigan and left with 52-16 win.

    This game feels like that.

Oregon is going to fall off under Helfrich. Only the biggest Quooks haven't already realized it. I'm not saying anything about a UW revival until it happens. We are also behind Stanford and I don't think they are going anywhere. The Pac 12 South will continue to get stronger as well.

At the least we're in the process of pulling even with them. Our revival is on going. They're still kind of explosive, but there isn't the depth nor the coaching there was 3 or 4 years ago. Even if they covered tomorrow (I really doubt they will), I would still feel the same way. The ESPN article exaggerated the situation a bit, but the daze of being their play toy are ending after way too many years. Duck fans living in reality know it. Its the same uneasy feeling we had at the end of 2001 then in 2002 and 2003.

If you think a program that has Nike's CEO behind it, a program that has entrenched itself among college football's elite and sold its very soul for football glory and posh digs will just fade into the sunset, you've got another thing coming. If Helfrich messes up very much more he will be gone, sooner rather than later. The ducks will be a perennial top 10 team, while you have a long way to climb out of the morass of mediocrity. Oregon became a national brand. Something you were not in your heyday. Recruits dig it. The sun never sets on the duck empire.

This kind of arrogance is why you deserve 0-12. You lack any understanding of how college football works. You are a token Quook that takes Oregon's success for granted. It's not easy to be a top 10 program and there aren't that many coaches capable of leading championship caliber programs.

The brand and money are a great advantage for you, but plenty of programs with money go into slumps. What does Oregon have that Texas, Florida, Michigan, and Tennessee don't? Alabama wasn't anything special for years until Saban came along. Are those schools not national brands? They are some of the richest schools in college football.

Road dawg. When will you embrace your inner doog? Peterman just got his #2 hole stretched by helfrich.

I'm glad you aren't "saying anything about UW revival until it happens" but you have been saying it all over this board for the last few weeks....

    Just saying.

No, I haven't. I've always realized we have a ways to go. 10-3 was my prediction. Helfrich sucks. If you want to think otherwise, that's fine. It will all play out over the next year or two.

Peterman got dominated by both Williingham and Sark too, so perhaps this notch on Slingblade's bedpost is more beer-goggle hook up than bringing home a hottie.

I was at the WIllingham game, dominated is a bit much.

There's nothing special about beating peterman. He's was media propped sensation so ESPN could have "college football" played on Wednesday nights.
