Confessions of a Chris Peterman convert

I have to admit, when it was announced Peterman was the next head coach I cringed.
I tried to act excited because of his record, but visions of Houston "Busta" Nutt, Dirk Koetter, and Dan Hawkins clouded my vision.
Deep down I felt Washington was fucked.
But fuck was I wrong.
Watching the 2 minute false start GIF makes me harder than Grinolds at a NAMBLA video shoot.
He's a damn good coach and I'm going all in on believing Washington is going to piss purple and shit gold on Oregon this weekend.

while I wanted Mora more, I warmed up to Petersen quickly. After a few interviews I was all in on the clean cut by the book good guy because of the history of success he had.
then i saw the false start GIF and I tore my sweatpants
We've arrived at abundance folks, an honest likeable guy who's also a hardworking pissed off stickler for details and results.

I wouldn't have minded Mora, but I've never been fully on his bandwagon since 2007. When Mora turned it down I was more upset about the possibility of Nuss or some other shitty coach getting the job than the fact Mora wasn't going to be UW's coach.
I remember some being lukewarm on Peterman. I didn't agree. We all talked about wanting to get a winner, and he was about the biggest winner we could have gotten. I had to remind myself that before the 2013 season, I considered him one of the best coaches in college football. One 8-4 season shouldn't change that. I still didn't fully believe we would get him and was very happy when we did.
He's been great since he's been hired. I love the attention to detail. Getting mad about the false start with a minute left reminded me of Saban and his players getting pissed at the end of their national championship against Notre Dame. It's what the great teams do. We'll see how it goes, but after learning more about Petersen and his process, it's hard not to be excited about Husky Football. -

I wanted Mora in 2008 when we delivered him a cake (side note, pie>>>>cake).
I wanted him in 2013 when DJ texted me at 2 AM telling me it was Mora only to be crushed the next day when nothing happened.
I forgot who Mora was when Peterman was announced. 92-12 speaks volumes. -
