It was designed to leave him unblocked and get the tackle down the linebacker. Dissly made the right read and quick reaction.

I wanted to get the play before snipped too, but it wasn't included in the, uh, source material.

The play was designed not to block him as they thought he would go after the QB on the play, the whole OL is crashing to the right. Most DE's can't get to the ball carrier in time.
