Let he who has never called for a fake punt cast the first stoneWell, I guess that's about all of us I called a corner blitz one time only to have it thrown over the top to the WR that was left. That count?
Seems he is being metaphorically crucified for the fake punt attempt (other sites and media) and one loss as UW head coach. Let's hope he can resurrect this season and the program, or for all the sad-you-sees and fair-I-sees calling for his head to DIAFF.

Me too. I am so damned impatient, seeing meaningful progress this season will remove doubt about the program's long term direction. I don't really doubt Petersen, things just haven't developed as I had hoped this season - yeah, yeah it has only been one game so far. I just can't wait until the Huskies return to the Rose Bowl with a realistic expectation of competing and winning. How he does on the road in conference will determine how soon such hopes can be realized, or how much more time it will take.Overall, I am still more optimistic about the program's future than I have been in over a decade.

He deserves all the criticism in the world for that call. Doesn't mean we're off the bandwagon or calling for his head.

But, from some comments on other sites (including Dawgpound except for one article), you would think Petersen shit himself in the Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle of Moses. He made a bone headed game time decision which seemed to indicate panic. Hell, maybe he did it so blood could return to our other body parts after engorging our sweatpants boners too long.
Brock called him out. Said you don't take chances like that at this level... kicking it would have pinned Stanford on their own 10( or not) and Stanford would not have moved the ball the way the UW defense was playing. He should tread lightly or he may get his brother fired.
