Yeah the producers get in their ears and tell them to pretend they like Nascar, when they don't.
It's kind of like how the producers tell Teddy Bruschi to yell at the camera about how Goodell should be fired and how they tell Samantha ponder to take a moral stand against Winston (instead of actually reporting).
