So now it's Brohm in the lead, with Fisch nowhere in sight.
But it's a questionable take with Whittingham on the list.

They could do a lot worse than Whittingham. They would need to spend big on a young OC but Whittingham doesn't have a buyout so that wouldn't be a problem.

Whittingham's 66 and seemed to be done. If he is still interested in coaching, why not stay at Utah? He was still having success.
Doesn't seem like the kind of guy to take a job to chase a bag. I mean, he's had plenty of opportunity over the years.

He seems to be at a stage of life where he wants to ride motorcycles and spend time with his family. He's revered there I'm sure more or less as Pete is at UW.

I just assumed Kyle was done at Utah because private equity wants to cost cut which is all they are good at.

I think it was private equity that drove him away because he knew he'd be losing even more control. I don't blame him.

Utah has had their DC as coach in waiting for awhile. That could have factored into the decision.
