I've noticed something about the Anthem and Chief fans
Do the Chief fans alter the last line of the national anthem to "Home of the Chiefs?"
It's amazing how some of our resident anthem etiquette experts on here gloss over things like this. Boy thats weird! Is it because those are "red staters"?
If this was done in Seattle, we'd never hear the end of it.

Point proven! Kneeling the anthem and singing different lyrics to the anthem…exact same level of disrespect!!
Gee I wonder what the real difference between those two examples where one fuels outrage on this board and the other one doesn’t!!!

Do you trust your mother every night to fix your hot pockets and make sure your GameBoy is turned on?

Thank god you’re so much smarter than me so you can keep regaling the board with absolute gems like these.
Can’t imagine why anyone would think you’re retarded.

I’ve never once cared all that much about people decide to do during the national anthem because it doesn’t effect me at all.
If they want to act dumb and piss of their employer or get drunk and embarrass themselves that’s really their problem

Great, I respect the consistency of your beliefs whether I agree with it or not. I get annoyed when we get this huge outrage regarding the anthem and its not applied evenly.
Kneeling during the anthem and changing the lyrics and singing it incorrectly are on the same level of offense. One of those scenarios got this massive outrage, the other one gets no outrage whatsoever. This leads me to believe the anthem itself isn't really the source of the outrage, its the offenders that drive the outrage.
