It would appear the short answer is yes ticket sales matter greatly still

Empty seats in the stadium for the rivalry game.
Husky Fever!

Oregon had a shit showing in 2023, and that needs to be included in this.
Like, nothing compared to Utah that year and Ohio State this year.
And from experiencing 2022 down there, it seems like neither fanbase has a huge appetite to go to the rival stadium and catch terminal chud disease.

they jacked the price and made tOSU tickets only available as a package…..initially
I thought they did with Oregon as well but I may have been incorrect -
The partial package for OSU was roughly the cost of a season ticket last year, yeah.
However last year's price didn't include the spiked dildo being shoved up for watching the Apple Cup at a REAL stadium like the Clink.
Yeah it sucks for fans but I think the goal was to prevent buck chuds from buying up single tickets, and making them suffer having to offload UCDavis and Rutgers tickets or eat the cost.

Is it possible fans aren't overly excited about the idea of going into Husky Stadium and losing to a rival, again with thousands of dickhead Duck fans around them? I also wonder if a decent amount of Duck fans aren't that interested in going to Husky Stadium again + shitty weather. One of the things that may have helped Apple Cup ticket sales is that you went into that game just embracing it was going to be cold as shit.

That's honestly a very lame disposition. Imagine any other big program not showing up their rivalry game because they are 6 point dogs
