Numbers and stuff

This team with this coach needs 3-4 legit DL, probably 2 OL starters, a TE, a RB, a WR and probably a CB away from being able to replicate Petersons year three. The only position groups that seem settled for next year are QB, LB and Safety and none of those are great.

I hated Petersen so much at that point and thought he was another bullshit Boise State coach that couldn’t hack it in the big leagues.
In the end, part of that was still true, but in 2016 and 2017, he had us looking like we would be perennial contenders and we all loved him and were happy he was our coach.

I didn't like Petersen. He punted on the Oregon 40. It turned out to define his coaching
I got excited in 16, who wouldn't, but he failed to capitalize
-
If Petersen found an OC that he respected enough to listen to he would have been a pretty perfect coach for UW. I imagine if he doesn't bail Washington is a top 10 team more often than not
-
Looking back, 2014 and 15 were bad coaching jobs. Especially 2015.
Our fans gave him a pass because the team was young that year.
It's fine to dismiss Fisch at this point but you're (not you, our fanbases in general) choosing to hold his younger guys to a different standard. Our NFL corners were freshmen and got shredded by Oregon's retard QB that can't add numbers together.
I don't respect Petersen's accomplishments at Boise, that's even on the podcast.

The best trio was a lot of offseason natty style hyperbole but even now it's still not that far off.
Boston deserves a ton of credit for stepping up as one of the best WRs in the country, and I think he would put up even bigger numbers if we had a better OL and Demond was better at connecting with him.
Coleman is a completely fucking enigma and should be one of the best RBs in the Big 10. I have no clue what the deal is though. He was better last year with what supposedly was a much weaker offensive line and now he has a running QB to play off. If he's hurt basically all year again that's a major question about his NFL future, especially since he's always been a guy who doesnt' carry the ball a ton.
Demond is just as good as any QB in the Big 10 after Mendoza and Sayin. Not that it's a high fucking bar.
-
Boston would be wise to just shut it down.
Jedd is going to get him killed.
-
Mendoza is pretty good, but a lot of it is hype from the results. The QB last year at Indiana was also good and Cignetti knows what he’s doing. Mendoza was on a loser team with Cal.
Sayin’s efficiency can’t be downplayed. He has a loaded team but he’s playing well and has gotten better as the season goes on. I think he probably wins the Heisman.
Without the wins, those guys are better than Demond. It’s a results business.

Coleman looks like he’s put on 20 pounds in eight weeks
-
if he’s not recruiting 3 ready to play tight ends 4 O lineman and 4 D - Linemen including 2 edges. He’s not serious
