I might get crushed for this, but…
What about Tosh? He can definitely recruit. His defenses have been good at Oregon and wouldn't call plays on offense (which I believe is a red flag).

Tosh is a great recruiter when he has the biggest bag. I don’t think anyone has ever kept him around for his coaching acumen.

Fisch is a great choice in the current era because he leaves for the next job before getting fired saving schools money from his buy out.

Fair poont. I will say that he spent a lot of time around Saban at Alabama, did some time in the NFL, and his defenses at Oregon have been pretty good outside of a few gaymes. With the way revenue sharing will go, the NIL fund should be pretty decent the next few years and allow him to throw the bag at quite a few guys.
He’sWho else? Franklin is probably going to VaTech (which is a fucking weird choice). I highly doubt we? could pull Drinkwitz. Napier who has very few ties out west (spent one year at ASU) might be a decent option but doubt he’d stay at Washington very long if he was successful.
Which I think is kind of the crux of the issue. Getting someone to stay long enough to actually build something.
