Tulanes AD didn't work for us

YOU are advising ME to have a reality check?
I never said it was likely, but in a scenario where I'm Pat Chun and need a new UW coach, Dillingham is on my short list. And if I've got the budget, I'm making him say no with an impressive offer. Here's some reality: Money talks and Big 10 > Big 12.

The odds are 5,000-to-1 that it would ever happen. But I love the idea of it. He's a coach I would be genuinely fired up about on day one.
-
I just read Race's comments, and I agree with 95% of it. The one part I agree with PGOS is that being at your alma mater can mean something. If I loved a place money wouldn't be the end-all. But to act like a whopping offer to Dillingham couldn't pry him out of Tempe is foolish.

Assuming Judd wants out, I too would love Dilly Dilly (TWILTCH).He just seems so hyper competitive that coaching in the Power 2 should seem very attractive to him. If staying with his heart at a lower league of football is what he really wants, then he’s probably not the guy we should want at UW. You definitely have to make him say no though. If you have the chance at a guy who’s won a conference title and coached in the playoffs you offer 10 and see what happens.
-
If Judd wins out, beats Oregon and makes the playoffs you offer him 9 no more than that. 10+ million is for closers and Judds never won a conference title. That’s my pay scale. All Fish has ever done is win an Alamo Bowl against true freshman Jackson Arnold, who to this day kinda sucks at being a QB. If UW wins 9 or 10 with a bowl game and you want to up his pay to 8.5 I’d be fine with that. 9+ is right near top ten money. Another Alamo Bowl doesn’t put you in that company.

Yes.
Dillingham and Brohm aren't leaving until the momentum starts to wane. Broham was already in the B1G and revamped Purdue, then bounced to his alma. And if the momentum is waning, why would we want them anyways?
They aren't mercenaries like DeBoer who leave for an extra 1 million and dont negotiate with the school before bouncing.
To be fair to DeBoer, I don't think he leaves UW for many gigs. Bama was just one of the few.

It's impressive that you possess a full psychological profile of Dillingham to know exactly what he's thinking and everything that motivates him.
The fact is we can never know for sure unless we dangle the proverbial carrot.
We will agree to disagree.

DIlly or brohm likely don't leave for a half share big program. Just a thought. Maybe I am wrong. It's not like they can't make the playoffs at their current schools although it's probably easier at uw. Doesn't seem like a job they would leave for unless they hate their current boss.
