OFFICIAL Washington vs. Michigan Game Thread

I’ll assume that was peak Petersen 2016-2019 due to factors outside of football or timing. Obviously 15-0 prior to natty game was the most achieved since Rick’s RB win, the Sugar Bowl Trophy is something rare from the PAC era. Coach Pete never got over that hump in either BCS bowls but there seemed to be more excitement I recall.

I could have stomached losing 24-23 or something. I'm not excusing losing, don't twist, but a lot of it is improvement, development, and play calling. All three of those aspects sucked.
-
Yeah, when did the site cyberclimax?
-
While we had big traffic numbers in 2023, I consider our heyday to be 2016-2019. We would top 2 million page views per month at peak times and I felt like the entertainment quality was unparalleled.
-
Do you think the conference change has made a substantial difference either way?
-
I don't think so. Covid changed things for sure
-
Washington would go on to lose 24-7 after this moment
Choke job Fisch
-
Petersen quiet quits and didn't think the Rose Bowl was a big deal
Covid

2022 and 2023 were awesome and then the rug is pulled out before we could even process the loss to Michigan
Judd's used cars and all the old doog excuses return
It's hard

There’s no debating Boner is a great head coach. Don’t you feel a little betrayed or a tad bitter he wasn’t 100% focused leading up to the game? I understand that UW is responsible for fucking up the negotiations and we can agree on that. As a fan you don’t hold a little bitterness that had he been 100% laser focused we might have actually won the natty? No guaranteed win but in a better position. I’m not trying to litigate previous things or maybe him not being all in and being a little distracted even if it was 1% or maybe you’re of the belief he wouldn’t have been distracted even 1% if UW would have done their job of locking him up earlier in the season? I’m not a gifted writer like you and DJ so hopefully you get my point or question.

Harbaugh left after the game too proving that excuses are indeed for losers
I've made my feelings abundantly clear on where I think the blame lays
Michigan O line dominated the game. Shit happens
-
Harbaugh was not for sure gone if he didn't win
-
Yes he was. Cheating scandal cooked him. But not a distraction I guess
Excuses are like elbows. Everyone has a couple
-
That's true forgot about that
-
Made worse by that our defense had bowed up and gotten us a tuff stop on 4th and short and a three and out and then we had unforced pants poopery from the offense.
I can't find a full replay to confirm but I remember the punt on the play before it looked like Boston had a chance for a big return but then read the ball wrong and called a fair catch when he had plenty of space.
-
Oh yes the nearest defender was like 8 yards away at the point of catching the ball.
