Caple's Latest Episode: about ~16 minutes left to go

…is exactly how I feel as well about guys like Fisch and Cignetti leaving. Whether you think Jedd sucks or not, both of these guys sell their program in a way that's a massive pain in the ass to get a bunch of people to up and leave. It's why his wife and kids are back in Tucson as well.
You can bring up Stubhub prices or "half share" or how we aren't ranked or the always hollow man fag argument of, "Well you just KNEW he wasn't going to stick around, because you just KNEW it at the time!" and his record as an NFL assistant (switching jobs that much will eventually make a guy like him want stability), but at the end of the day it is much better for these coaches to just stfu and win where they're at.
Caple's 100% right about Cignetti: Indiana is now a better job than Penn State. They have everybody on their knees and with their wallets out.

Talking about UCLA afterwards, if Jedd goes there then he doesn't care about winning which is fine by us. I'm pretty sure that nobody worth a shit is seriously considering UCLA until Martin Jarmond is gone.
If he goes to Florida I guess that sucks but I don't think that Florida is even close to the same situation as DeBoer looking at Alabama, at this point. Jedd only mentions Florida in the context of wanting to be Ol'BawlCoche, and that guy finished his career somewhere else anyways.
Kind of agree with Danny that the only thing to be worried about is if he's really successful after next season.

Oh here's Caple with a "Let it play out" gee man where'd you get that line from?

Going to Florida is a lateral move now that we are in the B1G although they have a much more fertile recruiting footprint. I imagine he prefers to be in a place that his wife and kids want to live so that’s not much different than DeBoner striking when the iron was hot being hand picked by Saint Nick.
Boner would have never been on Petersen’s recruiting level and besides the money he knew Alabama was much easier to recruit especially since that is the weakest part of his coaching game.
I sure the hell would prefer to live in Florida than Seattle, Washington. Sure many of us from Seattle would deal with living on Lake Washington with an 8 figure annual salary.
Ain’t a chance in hell he takes the ucla job unless his wife wears the pants. Sucks we didn’t hire Coach Cigarette 2 years ago but it seems as if that ship has sailed. If Chun’s dream job is Ohio State he better kill his next HC hire.
Win at Michigan Fischy and you will sway more fans to your side for a few weeks unless you lose at home before Oregon and to UCLA on the road.

As @RaceBannon said (paraphrasing), "Fisch looked at his wife and her desire to stay in Tucson and the Big 12 and made his family decision."
This is 100% a football decision. Then you have quotes from Jedd like his desire is to put his own footprint on Washington and own it. And Washington has only given him Yes's which is probably the most important aspect besides roster/assistant money.
That strikes me like a guy that's determined to not be the guy failed after the rockstar came through for 2 seasons.

Solid arguments, it’s rare to get a Don James type that wants to make his own legacy at his first D1 coaching gig.
You are high if you believe Fisch looks at this job being his last stop. For many decades I have wished the same since Coach James stepped down in protest. Hopefully Fisch has developed a good relationship with the AD and power players at UW. I don’t doubt he wants to ride it out with Demond. Fisch has won exactly 1 B1G road game so he hasn’t proved to be the guy yet. Coming out without sleep walking the first half vs Michigan will help and beating M in Ann Arbor will help his cause going forward. I believe 9-3 is his ceiling and if he takes the team to 10-2 I will eat my words.
