Bucknut Cosplay
What of the few things that gave me enjoyment with the overall scene today was the ridiculousness of some of the Buckeye fans and what seems to happen when you become basically and NFL fanbase of a college team. What I'm talking about:
-Walking out of the tunnel at the end of the game and seeing a grown ass man in a Buckeye Telletuby costume passed out cold against the wall on the concourse
-Guy in my section doing Woody Hayes cosplay. Hat, glasses, tie, shirt. He also seemed to carry himself with this weird air of seriousness.
-The like 8 guys who were "Tophat" wearing like Buckeye top hates with different numbered jerseys like Tophat 1, 2, etc. I saw them walking around the parking lot well after the game still wearing their hates. None were under 50.
I am not envious of this shit.

If spirits exist, I wonder if the ghost of Gloomy Gil Dobie ever wanders around the tennis courts at UW. (Where Denny Field used to be from what I understand).

There was a Doorman poster name that I didn't know why I always chuckled at called GhostofGilDobieDawg - was that you?

No LOL. I was MontrealDawg and then DerekJohnson.

I went on a little freak out on the reddit threads with all the retarded "Ohio" fans. God they make it hard for me to keep Oregon as the most hated team. Somehow they act like everyone "disrespects them". Midwest cougs with slightly worse colours and a better stadium

perfect summation of osu fans. Oregon has more than its fair share of cringy fans (Portland Timbers fc dads in receiver gloves and camo-wearing tactical gear bearded guys) compared to the average, but Ohio state was off the charts with the nfl superfan types. Apparently big nut charges people to take photos with him, too.

I spent sometime in the Varsity Club sports bar in Columbus after the 2003 loss. Was arguing with drunken sorority girls about Maurice Clarett. Strange vibes.

I think it was Buc-I-Man in the cowboy hat that was accused to charging for autographs. This faction of football fans is just ultra cringe to me.
By the way, I think I heard during Sunday Night Football that there was crowd noise from the Packers fans in the Cowboys Stadium. The horde of traveling fans shit is just becoming more and more of a thing.

El Oh Fucking El.

I've said this several times but for me, the all timer was the Oregon couple my age that had elaborate dog catcher uniforms on, custom made, and sat in a street bubble thing outside of Big Time and glared at everyone that walked by.
