I just thought coug did a great job of hanging on and hitting their 2-3 route trees that you run when you're trying to have a 13+ play 67 play drive that kills almost a quarter of clock and nets you 3 points.
It's how you have to play in NCAA 26 after you've ruined your recruiting.

It's hard to see us fumbling a national championship when this is our? spiritual defensive MVP
-
Fisch could've just done this over and over and it would have been a 34-7 type of game:
-
Except for the fact that he was getting stuffed a bunch as WSU sold out to stop the run
-
We need him fresh this weekend. Demond, Coleman, Boston and Center need to bring some pressure while we limit our defensive possessions. Word is guys are working harder than ever! #woof
-
The plays they stuffed it you had Coleman with nobody but 4-5 cougs directly around him.
Some of those plays when they come back with Muhammad right after Coleman you can see coug defenders just getting demoralized.
But then Jedd wouldn't get his 59 point game.

cool podcast dude

The OL struggling to dominate the LOS is one of my concerns from the game but yeah I think if they had committed to just pounding the rock with Coleman they definitely would have broken through eventually, ran the clock out, and with how much Coug was blitzing you probably hit some big runs where you catch blitzing the wrong hole. They probably also wear their defensive front down more and chunk yardage more and more as the game goes on.
I prefer how they attacked offensively though and they seriously just needed the defense to get a second stop to blow the game open, which they eventually did.

Fisch definitely put plenty on tape for Ohio State's 800+ defensive analysts to go over this week.
-
Scoring TDs in 3 minutes a pop just means literally everything was working besides obvious first down Coleman dives which WSU made it their cuog mission to stop
