Nothing BUTT Rock

By marching bands is all I want to hear at a college football game.
@DerekJohnson does the marching band even play @Tequilla anymore in Husky Stadium? In the 3 home games I've been to post Covid and moving to Wakanda, I can't recall.
Piggy backing off @DoogieMcDoogerson 's recent main board thread here…
This trend towards rock and hip hop in the stadium is vapid, soul less crap. And the acoustics are fucking terrible and rape my ear holes. Marching bands sound so much better acoustically.
Give me some marching band All Right Now all day long.

I send an email to UW after every game I attend to tell them to turn their shitty music down, stop playing shit between every snap, and let the game breathe a little and bring COLLEGE back into it.
No response, ever.

I get they are desperately trying to get people beyond the lunatic fringe and under 40 into the stadium but holy hell the music was bad for the Colorado State game and it was blaring up until right before snap a bunch of times. I wonder if they were trying to cover up for a mid environment, given the opponent. It's not needed.
My boomer season ticket holder dad called them a handful of years ago to complain on the phone and got someone he specially complained about them playing Pit Bull, and sang you know that one song that goes "ohh aaaa oh aaa oh…don't stop the partay!"

Who are you emailing? I will join your campaign.
I'm dead serious about the acoustics. It's fucking terrible.
IFL love listening to Jimi on high fidelity analogue gear. I HATE Jimi in Husky Stadium.
The marching band is live music which sounds good in a college game environment.

I find it amazing that anyone can identify the song they are playing. The band facing north then south followed by east and west so you normally get 1/4 of the sound sucks - plus the fact that a band playing a popular song that was originally a drum set, keyboard and guitars just doesn’t sound good.
The only song I recognize is Bow Down and Louie Louie

From '81-'86 my dad and I sat in the south side upper deck on the goal line. The band was behind the Husky bench at midfield, playing right at us. It was a huge part of the special stadium atmosphere from those days. Its a feeling that doesn't exit anymore when you're blaring Eminem

Imagine wanting to here Eminem over the Husky Marching band playing You Can Call Me Al.
-
Well the caveat is back in the day it was Bill Bissell's band playing Angel in the Centerfold and Fat Bottomed Girls.
-
Great songs for a marching band. I love the Husky Band playing Fat Bottomed Girls.

Brock Huard says that he wants the playlist from Autzen Arena for his morning workout.

Great. Another reason to not like Brock.
