Some feedback from Vanilla on issues I have sent them

I wasn't able to fully reproduce the email here with screenshots, but there are explanations on some of the issues… They are plugging away at the issues.

Thanks for your email.

Here are updates of the various issues you’ve sent me:

Breadcrumb at the bottom of the page: I will look at getting this added today.

Network Error: Network errors like this are generally going to happen if the user’s device lost connection with the internet- this is almost certainly user-side.

Page Jump When Quoting: We have an open bug for that issue, I’ve added a note that this is affecting you as well.

Missing Reaction Counts:  Where you see this information may have just changed from the previous theme. I’m still seeing the full counts on user profiles.

Our Rich Editor does try to copy whatever formatting is on some text when it’s copy-pasted into Vanilla. This can be finicky with some platforms users might copy from - the Vanilla editor may not understand some specific formatting on some text (formatting we don’t render) but generally the Vanilla Rich Editor is getting a lot better at this. I’d be interested to know where the user got the link (messenger service, a Google doc, etc) so we can investigate further. If we know where the link is coming from, we should be able to replicate it and then our devs can fix that compatibility. There is a recent bug where copying from an older Vanilla post was causing this type of thing but that has been resolved (or it’s a part of the coming sprint).

Notifications Not Going Away:When there have been a lot of notifications on a single discussion that you’re following, rather than make 20+ different notifications appear in the list, it will silo them into a single notifications within Vanilla. Opening the notification drop down won’t clear out all those notifications at once, but clicking on the notification should (that will bring you to the discussion with the new comments).

Getting a screenshot from the user to see the types of notifications that are getting stuck would help here. There may be opportunity to adjust this behavior so the notifications are being cleared more effectively/consistently when you check your notifications.
