Back to this subject. I appreciate the way President Trump handled the Ukraine war yesterday. America should stand for standing up for democracy and freedom (even our own)so the change of tone was welcome.

You remember poorly. I was in favor of getting Bin Laden, blowing the shit out of the Taliban and then telling them don't make us come back. Trying to turn Afghanistan and Iraq to functioning democracies was a fools errand. I did buy the chemical and nuclear threat of Saddam but that was a lie that everyone believed including the NY Times. But once Saddam was no longer a threat we should have threatened the Iranians to leave Iraq alone and then leave. That was at least by year 2. We are now in year 4 of the Ukraine mess with no American interests in play. Let the Euros play eternal war if they want to save a democracy that doesn't exist.

I’m completely fine with admitting that I was young and stupid when I threw my support behind the Iraq invasion in 2003.
22 years later I’m perfectly fine with not spending 100s of billions of dollars so that millions of people can die on the other side of the world, all in the name of “preserving democracy”.
If you dem apologists want to lean all the way into that, be my guest. We can add that to trans men in girls sports, illegal aliens flooding across our borders, DEI nonsense, or any one of the other 80/20 issues you fucking children seem so feverishly ready to jump into on the wrong fucking side.
