It doesn't matter whose generation it is, Mildred. It ain't happenin' regardless.

I agree it's not happening on entitlements reform. However, that's because of boomers like you. Weird thing to place at the feet of everyone else.
In the meantime I'm fine with slash and burn through a bunch of other things like USAID. It may not solve the budget problem but it does contribute.
I realize you consider Trans art spaces in Pakistan vital government services though.

I want smaller government with reduction to your entitlements and those going to people that aren't meant to receive them. Let me know when a majority of my taxes actually go to things that benefit me
-
You can cash me out of social security anytime. The reform requires no longer enslaving new workers to a ponzi scheme
And the meltdown over DOGE really showed how H thinks
His only answer to cutting government is to steal money people paid in
-
Isn't even a youngster like yourself a little too old to be taken in by DOGE theatrics? I mean, we know some of your colleagues here are in steep decline (Gasbag, Sludge, Race, etc.), but the mindless slashing that has to be undone after the fact is all for show and isn't a serious effort at reducing the size of government, even assuming that was a realistic goal.
I don't speak for Boomers; I speak for myself. The ShedCons of eDuck years loved this small government talk too. We've been having these discussions for more than 25 years. All along, I kept saying it isn't going to happen. I've been right about this phoney-baloney small government movement for decades now. And I'm still right. Honestly, I'm tired of all the winning.

We know. You love big government and big spending
So back to the original point of the post
When did your opposition to Federal control of the police start?
-
🤡🤡🤡
I'm actually pleasantly surprised it wasn't just all theatrics. I'm used to your generation and politics being "give me until after the election and I'll have more flexibility".
I think Elon was disappointed when the political reality hit but I hope things keep being pushed along.
The absolute screeching and terrorism from the left was the biggest tell that it was meaningful. How's the dem war chest for the next election currently?
-
I also appreciate you admitting it's "your side winning" that has caused the budget mess.
Imagine big government costing more than it returns.
-
I was referring to me alone, being right again. As always.
It has never mattered at any time who was in power. Government doesn't shrink. And the notion that the government is shrinking while the deficit explodes is laughable.
-
You wanted big government and you got it. And it may cause the collapse of the country. Why backpeddle now?
