Before my time, both in band and in life, but we did bring this one back for a Best of Broadway show in 2001 (or 2002). This was, of course, pre-Hamilton.

People forget The Wiz was Hamilton of the 70s

I recall passages in the early drafts of DJ’s books on Owens and James where they lament the low attendance in the 70s because The Wiz was in town.
