UW men will face Nevada to open Acrisure Holiday Classic

The Washington men’s basketball team will face Nevada on Nov. 27, and then either Colorado or San Francisco the following day in the Acrisure Holiday Classic in Palm Desert, Calif., as matchups for the third annual Acrisure Series were announced Monday.
Washington claimed the 2024 Acrisure Inviational title in Coachella Valley.
In total, the 2025 Acrisure Series will showcase more than 20 NCAA Division I men’s basketball programs, making it the largest multi-team college basketball event in the nation.
• The Seattle U men’s basketball team promoted Grant Leep to associate head coach.
Leep joined the staff as an assistant coach in 2023 and helped guide the Redhawks to 37 wins and the College Basketball Invitational title in 2024.
Leep is a Mount Vernon High and Washington alum and compiled a 114-69 record in seven seasons as head coach at Seattle Pacific.
Seattle U is preparing for its inaugural season as a member of the West Coast Conference.
