Confession of a moron (aka faggot)

I went full blown doog last night. I had thought I was immune to behaving like a doog. Sorry I wasn’t.

I admit getting a boner in my sweatpants over Petersen's hire (very relieved it was justifiable according to Boobs), then freaking the fuck out when Petersen doing what he does didn’t conform to my expectations yesterday. I realize my comments after last week are inconsistent with my tirade (including inflammatory insults, etc.) last night.

Nothing changed. I just lost my composure, not unlike Peters, and displayed an emotional breakdown by failing to see the bigger picture.

Behaving like a doog sucks. Don’t do it, it’s not worth it. Worst part is that it’s not readily self-apparent when one crosses over. I almost went hyper-doog by thinking I was never going to read or post here again.

I have also gone doog by wanting Sark to fail at USC. I now realize I should be grateful he is there and no longer her. He is no longer relevant. The prior “hype” is no longer relevant either.

Couple observations:

1. Petersen’s process is hard. Not just on players, but fans too. Hence, the tendency to freak out like a doog.

2. Petersen’s process must be very demanding of his coaching staff, because so much trust is required to succeed. There is doubt and concern about the OC and DC, but I think it is premature. Petersen chose his staff based upon who he needed in place to build the program. I don’t recall much comment about Wilcox being considered for the DC position, but I imagine the substantive part of the interview was very brief. After answering a few key questions, Petersen no doubt concluded Wilcox would have been unable or unwilling to trust the process. I doubt Wilcox would have received the benching of Peters with as much acceptance as Kwiatkowski displayed.

I know, TL DR. But, I pledge my support for Petersen’s process, and trust HHB posters to call me out if I behave like a doog.

ED. An unintended effect of going doog. Hope to get boners in sweatpants again soon.

Maybe this tough love will eliminate future bonehead penalties.

    1. I hope Petersen continues to blow up the house that sark built, because that house is built on sand. Benching Peters was another sign of his intent to do just that. Might take a little while to slap the Sark mentality out of the program, but it's going to happen. I have no doubt of that.

    2. I admit I was rooting for Sark to lose last night. Doogish I guess, but I know that he is who he is and eventually he will fuck himself. Probably lose to a team he is favored against on the road. Maybe get plungered by Notre Dame. No need to concern ourselves too much with that, but it will be interesting to watch the media fawn over him before the inevitable happens.

    3. I trust that a guy like Petersen knows that the defense was unacceptable last night and is doing everything he can to fix it, and I hear that Lake Washington is wet.

    4. It was nice to hear Petersen talk about winning all three phases of the game in his post game interview.

I actually think Sark will do okay at USC. He is not a great talent developer but with SC talent he doesn't need to be. He reached his ceiling at Udub but it might actually be a little higher at SC assuming he keeps decent staff around him (Wilcox).

I've had knee-jerk reactions to the poor play so far from Petersen's Dawgs, but I do feel excited about the future under him. I see a team that will play with discipline, heart, and toughness. I'm not sure his current staff is the answer though.

And the head coach did make some bonehead coaching decisions in the EWU game that need to be cleaned up. I'm chalking it up to him just needing to iron out the wrinkles of the new job situation for now.

    This.

I think a lot of fans out there are really having a tough time with the lack of sizzle and the straight forward nature of Petersen, honestly. Petersen says what he says, and he means it. That is one thing that is hard for me to remember. He is telling us all this shit and he actually means it. He is saying "it is a process", "it is not easy", "Our team is unkown", and he actually fucking means all that. He isn't hear to blow smoke up our ass.

Hell, he even said in a recent article before the season that the roster, "doesn't look like how we would want it to look." The biggest thing I have to remember is to actually listen to what he is saying, because he is actually telling us stuff that matters.

Who cares what Sark does really? He's elsewhere. If it were an asshole like Ty who somehow got another coaching gig (at a high school), yes I would laugh at his failures.

I'm fine with Peterman changing the culture and all that. Sitting players and establishing your own precedents is part of that... as are all the nuts and bolts like player development, recruiting, strategy etc. I just don't think it should require that much of a rough transition coming off a 9-4 season.

For one, Sark is still in our conference, so that's reason to care what he does. Second, if you think he isn't an asshole, you must be the one playing with his balls while PL_SS sucks his dick. You aren't puppy's brother, are you? That would explain a lot. You two sure seem to agree on a lot of things.

Beating Stanford yesterday may be a beneficial factor in the final North PAC-12 standings and aid UW's place therein.

It's hard not to freak out when a 5'4" QB comes into Husky Stadium and passes for 1000 yards and puts up 52 ...

    But ...

Peterman has won 88% of his games and 100% at UW ... who the fuck am I to question him.

    But ...

10 regular season wins or shit is gonna get cray cray (Hi Creepy)
