Softy also called for Ty to get the fourth year which led to 0-12. Then when Sark came, Softy questioned the mental health of anyone not fully on board, which was a shot at Husky Half Brains and later HcH.

Just about all the Seattle sports radio hosts suck for one reason or another,
-
Softy’s a huge douche but he’s all we’ve got for hosts that give uw air time.

Wayne Cody Sportsline on KIRO was on in the 70s. The OG
The Sports Babe showed up from South Florida in time for the 1991 dust up with the Canes. She was a master pf pissing people off to get them to listen. Kind of an art form
I think Mitch was the best of the rest. He said the Pac 10 played beach football. Was not that wrong by the time he was here. There was a Michael dude in between
As someone pointed out the entire industry and Gas and Groz committed suicide over Ty

Cody was also on throughout much of the 80s, that's when I listened to him

The Throbber is old enough to remember that Bob Blackburn had a shift on KJR when it first started out circa whenever in the late 80s. Keith Shipman (husky highlight show/KCPQ ding ding) took a shift. Don't remember who else was in the original crew but want to say maybe Kevin Callabero, too.
For the Spokane guys, Patchin Lukins and Osso was entertaining. Two grumpy old men and a fat guy.

I kind of hate that shitty cringe radio DJs will soon be gone forever. Adam Carolla sometimes talks about the pinnacle of Coors Light voice shock jock shit with The Nasty Man. I'm sure he'd fly well in Seattle these days:

Cody was larger than life in many ways
KJR was among the first nationally to do all sports

Seattle has lagged behind Portland for college football talk forever. Embarrassingly so. Part of it is yes, there's just 1 pro team here in a non-NFL sport. But there are just a lot more young professional cougs, ducks, and beavs that prioritize college football over everything except maybe NFL betting, for some shows. They will do a lot of the some same gimmicks to get people's attention with hosting events and stuff, but they just aren't as much of an entitled sloppy fucking mess like all these KJR people. They cover UW and WSU almost more than Seattle does, so the exhausting Oregon and Oregon State coverage is a lot more palatable.
They also aren't as embracing of transplant hosts that grew up on teams halfway across the country.

That guy is still on the air.
