Hands to the Face

I thought we were done with this shit. All 10 of our penalties today were on the defense, giving EWU 100 free yards, negating sacks and other defensive stops and giving them first down after first down.
We had 5 15-yard penalties on defense; a late hit, unsportsmanlike and 3 hands to the face. Then there were 4 offsides (KO, Kikaha, Feeney and Littleton), and a defensive holding away from the play.
If anyone thinks there's a more pressing need on defense than cleaning up these penalties, instilling some discipline and refining technique, you're pressing.

Yep, EWU's offense got a lot of help from UW. Probably made a 21- point difference on their side of the ledger. Would 59-31 feel different?
Part of the process of getting the sark off these guys is getting them to play with discipline. The Peters benching sends a *huge* message in this direction.
Be patient, fucktards. You're gonna like the long term results. -
I'll wait to see the replay on these hands to the face penalties before I make judgement on if it is something that needs to be cleaned up or just a result of getting the plunger that is a Pac-12 referee crew's calling card.
Either way, Petersun needs to adjust.
I'm not saying that Pac-12 referees are worse, or call more shitty penalties, than other conferences so don't go twisting. -
WTF'd for wanting to watch this scrimmage a second time.H_D said:I'll wait to see the replay on these hands to the face penalties before I make judgement on if it is something that needs to be cleaned up or just a result of getting the plunger that is a Pac-12 referee crew's calling card.

I didn't say I wanted to watch the scrimmage a second time. Stop twisting.TierbsHsotBoobs said:

Clean up the penalties, catch the INT's and this game could have been 59-31. I doubt anyone would throw in the towel with that score.
