Three Iranian officials familiar with the plans said that Iran gave advanced notice that attacks were coming, as a way to minimize casualties. The officials said Iran symbolically needed to strike back at the U.S. but at the same time carry it out in a way that allowed all sides an exit ramp; they described it as a similar strategy to 2020 when Iran gave Iraq heads up before firing ballistic missiles at an American base in Iraq following the assassination of its top general.
I hope it is just symbolic and fizzles out. Still first quarter.

BREAKING: Iran Strikes Back. “Iran has launched a series of ballistic missiles, currently seven total, at American military bases in Qatar and Iraq as part of Operation Basharat al-Fath. Siren are also sounding in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Explosions in the air have been reported by witnesses on the ground.”
UPDATE: The attack seems to have been a whole lot of not much — half a dozen or so missiles, all intercepted.

Saw this on the news. I hope this is true. Gives Iran the face saving they need while we had no casualties and can say hey they warned us and everything is cool. Temps can hopefully come down from boiling. If Iran did in fact give us advance warning that was extremely smart of them and a huge signal they are feeling the heat and ready to talk at some point. We may need to get Bibi to chill for a second so the whole thing can come off boil and back to simmer.
