Congress has not jealously guarded its power to declare war for decades. Frankly, it’s because Congress doesn’t want the responsibility. Both Obama and Daddy have acted extra-constitutionally. It ceases to be shocking.
Some will decide where they stand on these actions on the basis of partisan politics. Most will simply judge them by whether they can be justified, not whether they were legal. I think last night was justifiable; I think Obama’s moves against Libya were too. Neither was legal, and I don’t think most people care about the legality of these maneuvers. The illegality troubles me a little, but not a lot.
The problem with Libya was that Ghadafi was sitting on top of the Libya nutcases. So we got him killed. Then Libya was was run by the Islamic nutcases, tons of US supplied arms ended up with ISIS, we had our Ambassador sodomized and murdered or murdered and then sodomized and black slavery was then permitted under Sharia law. Like with Bush and Iraq, there was no end game. Dems don't think there are evil people other than Trump. Leaving the embassy without any real defense was brilliant. Who could have seen an attack coming? Anyone with a brain. Afghanistan deserved have the Taliban leadership punished. Do so and then go home. Saddam had already threatened the US ME oil supply. Saddam played the FAFO game with inspection and found out. Fine, take him out and then leave. At least we had an arguable WMD reason. With Iran we had a definite threat and a regime that had killed and mutilated thousands of Americans and was funding and supplying missiles to attack Israel and kill and kidnap American citizens. Libya was no threat to the US and barry and PIPS had no idea of what was going to happen after PIPS stopped giggling and laughing.
If I'm dumb enough to fall for an Everett trap, I would need to seek help for early onset Alzheimer's immediately. I don't answer his posts anyway. I told him I was stopping that, given he's the dumbest here, and that says a lot (or little, if you prefer).
I think the bigger issue is why Trump is being vilified for doing what should have been done years ago, by any former president, regardless of party affiliation. Iran and the nuclear question has been a global problem for decades. Clinton, Bush(s), Obama and Biden all sat back and kicked the can down the road on Iran. The fact that we are here when party lines have spanned to their most outer edges, makes the optics look even worse. Yet Trump did do the right thing in the end. Watching Rep. Tokuda from Hawaii speak just now made me wanna vomit, not because of the personal attack on President Trump, that was inevitable but because she didn’t address the outcome. Iran has been neutralized as a rogue terrorist state. One that could have had much bigger implications on the safety of the US, Middle East and the world had they achieved nuclear status.
Just like Belushi put it, it's not over until we (they) say it is. Actually Mattis said the same thing in a speech, although not tied to Iran specifically. Basically no war is over until the enemy gives up. I also just read that Russia warns they might find some donors of nukes to Iran. What then?
Speculation…What ifs, hypotheticals.. Weakness. It was time to stop running from the problem. President Trump’s #1 obligation is to protect the people and interests of the United States. And by the way, for those doubting the legitimacy of his actions as unconstitutional, read Public Law 107-40, specifically the second part. Again, justifiable as previous presidents before him.

The Islamic regime that took over re-introduced black slavery so the dems could laugh about taking out Ghadafi.
You ruined my set-up trap for @AOG.

The Iranian mullahs weren’t calling out the central bank crooks like Qaddafi did.

Has anyone ever seen The Throbber and The Artist Known as Jess together?
That's what I thought.
The silence of the Gulf States speaks volumes
