As the husband of a former WTA professional, who did not respect nor watch any women’s tennis in my 20s, whose wife made unequal prize money at Wimbledon, who has now literally watched and coached thousands of hours of girls and women’s tennis in the past 18 years, you are absolutely missing the boat if you don’t appreciate women’s tennis.
The stories are different, because the characters are different, but they are every bit as intriguing if you listen and engage.
Larry Scott was, and is, a terrible leader and businessman. He somehow ran the Pac 10 into the ground after fumbling the WTA Tour.
And nobody….I mean nobody….gives a shit if I can beat my wife at tennis except for the stupid guys who ask all the time.
