It's not like I'm not gonna watch the games on TV or head up to Seattle for a home game or two. Being a UW alumnus (did I do this right @creepycoug ?) is a YUGE part of my identity. But the thrill is gone to great extent and I don't know how to get it back.
Room Temperature - I'm sure I'll be at least vaguely interested come September
I am kind of excited for Williams to take the reins at QB but wake me up when the roster is finalized after spring portal. Until then, I’m tepid at worst.
Billy Joe was an absolute gamer and never lost a game at UW. What he did or didn’t do in the pros doesn’t matter. One could argue Tui wasn’t a generational qb but he was money at UW.
Glad to read Race is leaving a little space that Fisch might succeed. I believe Jed’s player acquisition is better than our previous coach and DeBeor was a top 3 college coach at UW. I give him full credit for his success here but outside of Penix he didn’t build the foundation meaning most of the team’s contributions came from Pete’s talent evaluation and acquisition.
Red Hot -- I'm super excited to see what he can do this year
I’m fine with the talent he is aquiring, the one big question is can he call good games consistently. I’m planning on going to Pullman, the OSU, and Orygun gaymes. The North Side upper deck will absofuckinglutely bring the thunder, right @CallMeBigErn
Excellent point dannarc, would definitely like to see him give up play calling and/or hire a legitimate OC. That’s definitely a fair criticism imo. I also believe we upgraded at the OC and DC positions plus we have a full time special teams coordinator I believe I read on the Seattle Times Husky Football section.

Don James went 11-11 with a NFL Hall of Fame quarterback his first two years coming off a 5-6 season
We can do this all day but the fact is that UW fucked up the 2nd greatest coach of my lifetime who was quite possibly on the way to #1
If you continue to feel the need to trash DeBoer to prop up his questionable replacement then you are part of the problem giving UW the cover they need to continue to fuck up the program. And it was 17 years to go 12-0
People forget that the half brains were started because the fans were retarded at Dawgman propping up Ty by bashing the very same Don James
Time is a flat circle
Even Fisch defenders ae saying that he is gone as soon as he wins.
Yet we're retarded for not jumping for joy about the upcoming season according to experts
Red Hot -- I'm super excited to see what he can do this year
Roughly every 3 weeks now we need to have an emotional 'Dear Diary How Come I'm a Soft Fan Now?' thread.
DeBoer is an elite (offensive) coach. Nothing's changed with him. He's only ever won anything while at Washington. He's still Michigan's bitch though, so he has that going for him.
Career losing record, lol yeah. People on this bored suck off anyone that can win 7 games at WSU after 4-5 seasons but somehow Arizona is a sleeping giant?
As much as you think I'm carrying water for Fisch my opinion is the same as it's been for Petersen the quiet quitter and DeBoer the cuck that would let Saban rail his wife in a heartbeat:
Washington football will be here before and after these people. After a 2 4-team CFP's and a 14-1 season it's clearly still here after James.
The main gripe has always been that we aren't playing the game due to Upper Campus directives and even with an elite coach we'll be fighting over Idaho State's table scraps.
And after it's been shown that we are clearly playing the game now as much as anyone (maybe DeBoer fired up the boosters, not sure), now we've moved on to some other pussy grievance(s) that has fans from Oregon and Penn State who have been kicked in the nuts so many times that it's just puss mush down there laughing at us.

You don't know where you went wrong but the feeling is gone?
Winning always helps
If the positive among us here are daring to reach higher than 9 wins I'll listen
So far it's been yeah but Arizona and if he's good he's leaving for the NFL
Not going to lie but DeBoer was it for me. I don't care about why - everyone has their opinion
I just care that it happened
Thats my standard now. Big time winner.

I would have fired Don James if he lost the 1992 ('91 season) Rose Bowl.
Don James never won 14 games in a season
But he did win a Natty game against Michigan with a non generational talent at QB.

Give DeBoer 17 years instead of two

Wait — I thought you were still working on your associates degree from Greenwater CoIlege?
10 years, but still.
I miss the era when you could keep a decent coach for 17 years.
That fucking guy.

I don’t have a beef with what DeBoer achieved here in 2 years other than conspiracy theories about the week before the natty game.
My beef is with college athletics.

There's no correlation though between manliness and being a "soft" or "hardcore" fan. Coker being Exhibit A.
Fisch has a career losing record and lost to DeBoer
I'm impressed
