The first year of a new president is all on them. It’s been awhile since a new president didn’t have majorities in the house and senate, they can change the budget if they want to. 2017 is Trumps, 2021 is Biden’s and 2025 is Trumps.
Wrong….the budget for the year after a presidents term end has ALWAYS been credited to them. I’ve even posted the Trump White House web page link that discusses Trumps FY 2021 budget. I excluded 2020 as it was a complete outlier event. Everyone but you agrees with that. I excluded 2021 as a favor to your argument. We overspent when we didn’t have to in 2021z Biden owned lots of that spend and policies that kept GDP below what it should have been should we just sucked it up and got back to normal. Presidents own their results that happen when they are there.

Biden passed a $1.9 trillion stimulus bill in Feb 2021. 2021 is a mix of both of them.
