Sugar Ray was easily my favorite boxer between Ali and young Iron Mike, plus he won a gold medal nearly 50 years ago. I haven’t enjoyed boxing since Mike went to prison and in fact the only fight I have watched since the 90s was Jake Paul vs Mike on Netflix’s which was a “thud”. The promotions and different governing body’s and $ ruined that sport. College football should pay attention as they continue to erode the sport.
Definitely prefer mma/UFC, they took over for boxing in my book a couple decades ago.
Edit: I rewatched Hearns vs Hagler on utube during the pandemic. Epic fight for our young guys.
