This is effectively the basis for BRICS.

The US dollar became the worlds reserve currency through two events - the accumulation of the worlds largest gold reserve after WWI and the petrodollar. Lords of Finance is a kickass book that details the former. The US crashed all the other currencies because its was determine the most stable because it had the most gold.

The petrodollar agreement expired under Biden because either the puppet masters wanted it to or Biden was too deep into dementia to understand why it as important. @RaceBannon would argue incompetence. It was probably a little of both.

I’ve seen a business plan where a cyber coin is backed by physical gold as a hedge against the coin’s volatility. I can’t quite explain it but it seems the Russia/China play follows the same line of thought.

If somehow the Russian/Chinese can destabilize the US dollar, the whole house of cards falls in on itself. That’s why Trump is crashing the stock market to refinance the US debt and eliminate inflation/devaluation of the dollar.

Maybe the Econ geeks have a better explanation.

Were Trump and Elon told that going to Fort Knox would actually destroy the global economy as the entire ruse would be discovered? Not this hysterical market dip that has asset-poor people like @HuskyBuck sobbing a few days into a market correction.

The people dependent on the stock market continuing to never take a hit are cash poor and disproportionately leveraged in an entity they have literally zero control over affecting. Buy some property. Buy some bonds.

    They’re just dumb investors.

Who trusts who to hold the gold in BRICS?

Saying it will be a stable coin backed by gold is just more three card monte.

The US is still the only financially responsible government debtor in history. Yes, even now.

Democrats have been talking down the USA for two decades now yet look who all is running to Trump now that he is using the bully pulpit to strengthen what is easily the most prosperous, innovative, and powerful country in human history.

We run the globe. Nice to have someone run us that way again. I grew up in a Cold War watching nuclear war films in school and yes, we still did believe in miracles and Eruzione did score while I watched it as a kid. The US Left was rooting for the away team even way back then.

It's amazing how corrections are a bad thing because you don't like the president. I saw some "expert" guaranteeing a 50% retrace the other day. the fearmongering is crazy.
