The changes they have made to 2019-2022 uniform for 2023 (pant stripes, more traditional numbers without the inner rain pattern, different Adidas logo) were just because they knew the 2023 team was hyped af and wanted to sell more jerseys.
The 2021 throwbacks, including the changed helmet logo should have been the permenant new uniforms back in 2019. Currently what we have is a compromise between traditional and a modern look and that just feels like the worst outcome.

I could do without the stripes, particularly on the helmet. The white part is lame.
Frankly, I expect to see the American flag logo “W” far more often this season, but I will TITTT(!!!)
I liked the '91 throwback uniforms. I thought the white stripes on the shoulders were way better than the purple on purple stripes.
You’re nuts. The stripes on the helmet and pants match, and look great. The helmet would be boring as fuck without them.
Just do a single purple stripe and call it good. White is not a school color.
By that logic, we should do away with the road white jerseys.
Sounds good to me.
I’m sensing racism against the whites.

You might call it genocide.
