Billy Gibbons busks on the streets... and nobody notices him

Thanks Taft!
I saw this posted on X and someone commented that people are so busy looking at their phones that didn’t realize a legend was playing for them. I think it’s a matter of context. No one expects Billy Gibbons to be playing his guitar in a shopping plaza and while many people know ZZ Top and maybe know Billy Gibbons by name, how many hardcore ZZ Top fans are roaming the sidelines who would recognize him.

When I lived in LA I saw two different members of the band Crazytown in my Rite Aide. I didn't care.

Visiting with friends who live in LA after the rose bowl. I kept pointing out random people and asking “is that person famous? Are those people celebrities?”
Not because I cared but because it amused me.

I would assume he's homeless if I saw him playing on the street.

That's pretty good. The funny this is it can be really hard to tell because a lot of people try to look famous but who are asshats no-one cares about and most actually really famous people try to not be seen. It's funny my dad always comes back from LA saying I say a bunch of celebrities but I don't know they're names but I'm sure he just saw a bunch of fake famous douches.

I realize most of the people I would recognize probably wouldn’t be out and about in the places I was and anyone else who’s a celebrity that is out and about isn’t anyone I’d recognize.
