India is now a much bigger world power than Russia. China is the world problem today. Getting Russia and India on our side seems like a good strategic move. Europe is a dying Western continent. Decline is a choice and most of Europe had decided. The dems in the US also have chosen decline.
Russia and India fall into the same category imo. Strategically useful and culturally more compatible but not trustworthy in the least.
Make no mistake about India they are very corrupt and their democracy is a "managed" one like Europe.
They are both useful in countering both China and Islam though.
It won't surprise me if China invades Russia instead of Taiwan first. Not in necessarily a 4th generation kinetic war but most definitely a 5th generation "movement for regional independence" similar to what Russia did to Ukraine circa 2014.

That’s where I’m at too. There’s nothing in it for us to not have normal relations with Russia. We have plenty of allies that are terrible countries.
As is often the case these days the people screaming the loudest against Russia are the worst people in the country
