Best rock guitar riff - released in 1996 edition?

Hero of the Day - Metallica
@YellowSnow - I agree, top album but the only contender for riffage would be "Good Life"? "El Scorcho" is not exactly a riff, even though it's super memorable and a great song.
Either one aren't going to take out ones you listed.
I picked Hero of the Day because 1) My favorite track of the bad Bob Rock era and 2) I believe the only Metallica song in a major key.
Sublime had a lot of memorable guitar work on that album too. But, I put them in the "El Scorcho" realm i.e. two notes and everyone knows the song and they are good songs - but is it a riff?
