If The Seattle Times goes out of business in the next 90 days, we might know why...

They didn’t make payroll this week and said it was a tech issue.

For what? An idiot Congress authorized the appropriation to USAID, legislation signed by the President. No specific grants were authorized or not authorized all up to the discretion of USAID. They granted the money to say Politico, to Wuhan or GAZA often through passthrough NGOs. Money was sent and spent. Now finally we have a chief executive of the executive branch that has decided to find out where the money is going and fixing it. I'm guessing the majority of the republicans in Congress voted for the final authorization for years. Some of which was from Trump's first term and he signed off on the legislative authorization - buried in some huge omnibus bill.
-
Exactly. General money is appropriated and never looked at again. So long as the amounts aren’t out of line with previous year’s budget no one even questions it. Republican’s are not without blame here. The budgeting process is beyond broken, by design. Just like voting.

Take a look at the $$ amount average of these subscriptions. 37 of them accounted for over $1 million and there are names attached to them yet to be released.
That’s not legal to accept government money and then grossly overpay Politici for “subscriptions.” Did these individuals at the FDA from USAID note the income from USAID on their taxes?
-
So much going on this just may be FDA corruption and it was just over $500,000 of taxpayer money for Politico subscriptions that should have been $7400 total.

Not going to get a conviction. From what I know, I'd not indict no trying this. Start with the big stuff. We going to stick 5,000 FBI agents on the thousands of cases like this? This is small potatoes. Just fire their asses and go hunt for the big game and not the rabbits.
