Oregon Ducks' Dillon Gabriel Slighted By 2025 NFL Draft Projection?

No. He isn't NFL material. Good to greatish college QB though. Nothing wrong with that
-
he was more like a poor man’s Vernon Adams to me. Thought his decision making was limited.
No NFL.
-
I’d say poor man’s Nix. Maybe recency bias.

poor man’s chase Daniel

I went with Adams because of the height. Adams could overcome it. I thought it really hampered Gabriel from the pocket. Lots of blocked throws. Also could not figure out how to use Traeshon Holden to save his life.
Anyway as I write elsewhere I thought he held Oregon back at times. Not one of the greats IMO. Nothing against the kid. He’s fine. He’d be better if he embraced using his legs more which would cool down the D line a bit. But he gone now.

If Gabriel were 6'4" he'd get drafted regardless of anything else about his game. Being short and not great is a tough combo for the NFL
Edit to add a late round or UDFA is probable and he may stick on a roster somewhere

I don’t think a lot of us were fully sold on DG for most of the season. But hard to pile on when you keep winning. Until you don’t…
Definitely limited in what he could do compared to some recent UO QBs and I’m sure his lack of running was due to the coaches. They limited Bo’s legs in his second season here.
Looking forward to a tall righty next year and saying he sucks after his first 2 or 3 games.

Nix was a better QB.
-
Yes, that’s what poor man’s means.
They wanted him to play/operate like Nix did at Oregon but he was more limited.
-
Yeah, I misread that, I thought about changing it but decided to just leave it.
