Lake Oswego and Bend (west of the Deschutes) seem to be the 2 best towns in terms of quality of life in Oregon.

He took me to Rancher Butcher Chef last time. Sweet Jesus God what a place. -
RBC is excellent. Some chef that got cancelled in PDX over whatever politically incorrect infractions existed at the time. Bend is more middle of the road than PDX.
