The home side of the stadium at the giant beaver lists what are known as significant seasons for PSU.
The in reality criteria is:
Before B1G membership, undefeated (ties ok) OR national title seasons.
After B1G membership, conference championships (or better but they haven't had any better, though 1994 met the undefeated criteria too). This includes 2005 and 2016 seasons (losing to Pitt, getting blown out by Michigan and losing the Rose to Sam Darnold is speshul).
They also have 2012 up there to reflect a significant year to honor the team that held the program together through sanctions. (Sooooooo Pedo St)
2024 was school record in wins and final 4. That's significant. BUT… good lord is it a hollow significance.
I think where I am is had PSU won over ND, then put it up regardless of the natty game. But without that, just find some other way to highlight 2024 CFP in the stadium separate from the other seasons.

Any time you put a poundin’ to the fighting Fisch on IMAX it’s special!
Didn't they just blow that whole thing up?
I think the CFP participation banner will be in stadiums everywhere. Didn't UW?
That was the other side of the stadium.
I think this side is scheduled for renovations in a future phase.
“Look son, that’s the banner for the 2024 season when we lost the Ohio State game again and then the conference title game. James Franklin was on a 0-13 losing streak against top 5 teams at the time. A lot of people forget that.”
Fuck no. These types of season are going to become more common as time adds up.
