I mean, who knows? Dixon could have gone to the NFL too but chances are, someone back-channeled him and Texas A&M or Texas Tech or whomever else loves to throw money around is trying to buy him too.
I do think John Richardson (CB coach) knows what he is doing.
The staff took at least 4 DBs and Dylan Robinson will almost certainly play as a true frosh.
Caleb Pressley will be a RS-Soph and I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do.
Jordan Shaw clearly wanted a bag (and had already jumped from Indiana to Arizona to UW and now to Texas A&M) but the staff probably thought Dyson McCutheon was just as good as he was getting more snaps. I'm hoping they wanted to use the bag money Shaw wanted on a OL or DL.
I am bummed about Dixon and think he's better than Prysocks but pushing out Prysocks (who Richardson recruited to Arizona and then to UW) likely wouldn't get Tac Davis (the best of them all) since they played together in Arizona.
Shaw is way better than mccutcheon. They have other guys on the roster I would expect to win that spot.
It is a weird situation for sure with bad timing, but that doesn't bode well one of your top 2 defensive players from last year is essentially being pushed out.
Richardson was giving McCutheon more snaps so maybe Shaw was acting out and / or Shaw was giving the impression he was going to leave for a bag. It's tough to say what was going on inside the corner room.
Dixon is clearly better than Prysock and we are placating to him and Davis. In reality prysock should be the odd man out bit it is awkward with the relationship of an incoming player and the existing coach and Davis may not come without.
I understand it is difficult due to timing etc, but I don't think anyone would argue the best scenario is for Davis and Dixon to play outside and and someone win the nickel.
What is he saying? The timing wasn't good because they had worked on getting Tac Davis as a replacement for Dixon running out of eligibility and then the NCAA suddenly gave him another year of eligibility.

Yeah, that must be exactly what happened (eye roll).
I hope he’s bag shopping and comes back but doesn’t look like it.
I think breads right because Dixon didn’t want to play nickel.
Not a fan of this one.

Way to represent the north story of the day.
Dixon is an UDFA as of now
This is the first time I looked at the portal and it seems like every player associated with UW is a DB that is leaving.

And this is what we should expect from Fisch. The fact we lost Dixon and Shaw in the same week is poor optics
I'm guessing we'll see Esteen move to nickel after all this sorts out
For all you doubters, Dixon absolutely trashing the coaches on socials. Send him an invite.
shaw wasn't good

Give us specifics. I’m not on apartheid guy’s app anymore.
Thanks👌. Okay I’m in the acceptance phase now.
It sucks, but this is what a lot of poasters on HH criticized Fisch for in not going out to the portal and upgrading our talent
I don't like losing Dixon, but we improved CB with Davis
it won’t matter who plays corner if the front seven play like they did this year.
