News and notes
I really did think this Oregon team was different. Obviously Ohio State was on the short list of teams that "could" beat them but a blow out never really entered my mind
Losing to Michigan probably won Ohio State the natty. Definitely won the first two rounds. Was Chip Kelley sand bagging or stupid? Bucks ran a Woody Hayes offense against Michigan. Then we got classic Chip against UT and UO. Jerimiah Smith is better than the UW trio. Amazing talent.
Emeka was a #2 for 4 years but his career is ending nicely so far.
Oregon will keep knocking while my DAWGS rebuild yet again for the year after next.
Good luck the rest of the way.

good point on the Michigan loss. And shows that chip still has it…offense is 180 degrees different than it was prior to that Michigan game. Or maybe he was just sandbagging all year. Either way, being able to change your style that quickly and have it be effective is impressive

I never thought a blowout was possible either.
I do think that in the 12 team era has teams which are serious about winning it all have to be treating it like 2 different seasons. Season 1 is doing just enough to get invited to the dance, keep players healthy, build depth, focus on being the best in December. Season 2 starts after the conference champ game and is all gas no brakes. New schematic wrinkles, unleashing younger players who develop during the season, etc. Then survive and advance in the tournament.
Oregon, OSU and PSU had their 3 regular season games all be 1 score, all with the losing team having a chance to win/tie in the end. Did Oregon bring anything new on offense yesterday? It felt like they were trying to play the same consistent, almost safe, play which won all the regular season games. OSU obviously has unleashed something and PSU's running game has taken massive steps forward in the past 3 games.

My gut tells me 2023 Washington would beat 2024 Oregon.
-
They still wouldn't have an answer for Penix

That Oregon defense yesterday would have yielded 500 yards passing to Penix and Co. Midget DB's and slow safeties.

#member2023
I was saying 2024 last night so I’m correcting myself from here on out.
-
It's really hard to beat a good team two times in a row.
-
I’m here to congratulate the UW football team and their fans on their hypothetical win against Oregon this year.
