Fucking Belichick's UNC GM talking shit about my man:
New North Carolina football general manager and former Raiders and Browns executive Mike Lombardi, who has joined his old pal Bill Belichick with the Tar Heels, referenced UM in discussing the importance of the GM job in the modern era of college football. “That job will entail player evaluations, developing a grading system, building a team around what you want to become,” Lombardi said. “That’s so important, you know. In college you have all these first-round picks. Well, you still got to build a team. I mean, Mario Cristobal has been wonderful in recruiting, but they haven’t been able to get to the final 12. You got to build a full team, it’s not about winning the recruiting battle. It’s about making the team the best it can be. So, for me that’s the job.” UM’s Dennis Smith, the school’s executive director of football, responded on X: “Mike Lombardi — you on the job for 3 days and you firing stray bullets! We got our head coaches back! Join the list!” Former Hurricanes great Alonzo Highsmith served as UM’s GM before leaving for a front-office job with the New England Patriots in Februrary. The Canes rely on coaches and several front-office staffers for evaluations of players.

I do declare that UNC could be a program under the right guy. For whatever reason, it's not hard to recruit there despite there being like zero tradition. They have several built-in advantages, and for the academis prowess crowd, UNC is a tippy top public U and I believe is the oldest public university in the country.
This is war.

North Carolina is a beautiful state
It is. It's no Miamuh though. If I'm going to deal with humidity and fake mountains, I will take humidity, no mountains, and beaches that resemble Ocean Shores.

This surprised me.
Rains too much.
a lot of damage has been done in the last 5 to 10 years in particular, especially against them. Manny could not fucking beat them to save his life. still, no natty. not even close to a natty.
the thing about Winsipedia is you live by the sword you die by the sword. I would say most fans don't want to look up their team's winsipedia records. there's some embarrassing shit on there for just about everybody.
Miamuh ain't been shit since leaving the Big East.
Big East had nothing to do with it. Miami typically played a tough schedule, often tougher than their ACC schedule. Their record against #1 teams speaks for itself.
that’s not my point. Rather, their decline happened to coincide around joining the acc. Nothing to do with the competition in the ACC.
yes. that is definitely the case.
e tu?
Case in point,Texas is 4-8-1 all tim vs Vandy.
Washington v ASU is not a winsipedia you want to see
tearing down the OB was a nail in the coffin. nevin shapiro, albeit fake, didn't help. jacory harris didnt have thumbs but he was the starting qb.
tbh, florida and fsu sucking ass hurts miami/entire state of football as well.
Before Jimmy locked down the State of Dade and then Florida and FSU locked down their recruiting areas the state of Florida supplied a lot of Big 10 legends and spread over SEC schools
The wall has come down again. Has for awhile
Way more sun than the Puget Sound area. Adding it to the list of possible places to visit for my departure out of this depressing grey weather.
Hurricane humor. Not about Miamuh.
Living the the Puget Sound is madness.
honestly, what we? need is for Alabama and LSU to have an medium- to extended down cycle. They are the OOS programs that really appeal to Florida kids outside of the Florida 3. It would also be nice for USF and UCF to fuck off.
Big 10 is mostly a Buck affair the last several years. Lan Danning pulled a Florida kid; got someone to flip from Miamuh. Mario has only himself to blame for that. Beat Georgia Tech or Syracuse. Pick one, and win that game and you are not in the pickle you're in. Never has a 10-win season felt so shitty.
I don't know if this is Washington's most embarrassing winsipedia entry, but it has to be up there:
Less embarrassing, but annoying nonetheless:
Not particularly proud of this one either:
