If you remember the when the 60s stopped you weren't there

Day Tripper - The Beatles
Nope. I wasn't.
I can appreciate the 50s bleeding into the early 60s and same for late 60s bleeding into the early 70s, and so forth.
But for this exercise I gotta put Layla in the 70s

This must've been a tough list to make. I feel like you left a lot out, but it's a tough one that I wouldn't have taken on.
It's Day Tripper from this list though. I Feel Fine would've also sufficed.

Day Tripper - The Beatles
There are 30 or so riffs that are good enough for this, or I could have done it by year.
Day Tripper is 1A Beatles for me with I Feel Fine as 1B

3 cultural ends to the 60s
January 1969 Nixon takes office
May 4 1970 you can get killed for protesting. (white division)
January 1972 the draft is mothballed

Day Tripper - The Beatles
I thought Black Sabbath came out in 1969 so I spent a few minutes trying to to pick the best riff from that. Probably just stick with NIB as it's the most iconic.
Then I saw that it was 1970.
