This bracket is the general consensus I’m seeing around the webs.
It seems extremely unbalanced and top heavy. Oregon and Texas have the hardest roads while Boise, Penn, ND and others get to play in the minors?

as much as it pains me to say this, I probably would not want to have to face Notre Dame early in this thing. NIU was embarrassing, but they've been solid since then and seem to be peaking at the right time.

So fucked up. All a big playoff does is punish the best teams and diminish the regular season. This isn't the NFL where a 9 point win is a blowout.
At the very least it can’t be byes for the conf champions. Conf championships should only be guaranteed entry. I see they did it as a prize for winning the conference this time around but that doesn’t seem like it’s going to work out into a good bracket.

I won’t believe the SEC even in a down year won’t get four teams in until it’s an actual a reality. There will be pressure on the committee to match the 4 B1G teams with 4 from the SEC.
I wouldn’t assume Tuesday’s rankings will look like today’s polls although they have mirrored the previous weeks polls pretty closely. LIPO
I'm starting to buy into some of the twitter discourse where these mega conferences with insane tiebreaking procedures feeding into the asinine seeding method is just a way for the ESPN hot take industry to ensure it has content to generate clicks and eyeballs. The manufactured outrage industry is doing quite well.
The conferences need to band together to take back power and control. Until they do they're just puppets of ESPN and the other mega media entities.
if they’re going to fuck up the byes by giving them to the 4 best conf champs (not 4 best overall) they should let teams 1-4 pick their preferred qf opponents after the first round.
They can even put a selection show on ESPN so the screamers get their dream scenario
