Haven't seen a Syrian jihadi we? would want to recruit yet, but they look a lot better than 5 or so years ago. Rebels approaching D2/low tier FCS level.
I don’t even know where the fuck Syria is
Neither do Syrians
I’ve noticed that the Chickenhawk warmongers are starting to get ‘bored’ with Ukraine, since they now know it’s a lost cause - which is why they turned on the Syria War again.
South Korea is coming up fast in the homestretch of this disastrous administration as well. Martial law declared today.
Cha-ching
Are we for or against the Kurds this time?
Depends. They are the ultimate eternal warmongers wild card.
Our strongest ally … The Kurds (!!!)
It would be nice if Leftists could get a firm position on Turkey’s membership in NATO. They were screaming at Trump in 2019 to basically go to war with Turkey by putting active US military units on the ground in Syria, all for the plight of our longtime ally The Kurds (!!!).
Lukewarm for them, as always
Can you not fag up this thread? Thanks in advance
The men are talking in the war room. You've got trenches to dig.
So you are for the US intervening in Syria?
No. I'm fine with some cia goons and green beret types doing their thing over there advising and whatnot, but beyond that, no.
the Kurds are just another group of terrorists that are occasionally useful
No. I'm fine with some cia goons and green beret types doing their thing over there advising and whatnot, but beyond that,
As long as it isn’t him fighting,
Chickenhawk PGOS is fine with sending others to fight in wars that have nothing to do with legitimate US national interests. I don’t consider the Cheney Machine gaslighting people into believing Ukraine, which ~90% of US citizens count point to on a map, is about democracy (when it’s about money-laundering and bio-labs) to be of national interest.
I don’t consider whatever is going on in Syria, also which ~90% of Americans can’t find in a map, to be of national interest.
We have people living in tents in western NC months after a massive flooding that are being ignored and these warmongers want blood overseas/
There is a proposed pipeline from Qatar to Europe that runs directly through Syria. Also another from Iran/Iraq through Syria to the Mediterranean. Pipeline to Europe would make purchase of US LNG unnecessary.
It’s always about the oil and gas.
Yeah, sorry I don't care about the cia goons and special forces that literally sign up to do exactly what they are doing in Syria.
Fuck off as always
The US also likes stable countries in the shitshow that is the Mid East.
The US wants more Saudi Arabias and Isreals, not Yemens and Iran proxies.
And Assad is an Iran proxy just like Hezbollah or Hamas.
Everett probably shedding tears at the dead Hamas fighters killed by "chickenhawks" and their weapons
Wait until you see the other side PGOS
Strongman secular dictators are the lesser of two evils compared to mullahs and jihadis
The Shah was better than Khomeini
Assad pissed off Hilary and it's been destabilizing since
There are no good guys. Let them kill each other
He must be young because we heard this same bullshit in the lead up to the Iraq War, which I was fooled into supporting at the time.
I was making the same arguments as PGOS but experience has given me the ability to see these same arguments for military intervention are made in each generation. It’s always about money. There hasn’t been a conflict worth entering after 12/8/1941 IMO. Nothing has been gained since other than military bases all over the world with contractors like Raytheon making billions from it.
I had no issue hitting Afghanistan in 2001
Me neither, but after 20 years, the result is the Taliban still in charge, but with billions of dollars of our equipment and a fully functional military base Biden abandoned.
Totally worthless for everyone except politicians and warmongering military contractors.
Just like Iraq II.
Agreed, both sides suck, but the Jihaddis have rebranded and are promising amnesty to everyone and a "One Syria" vision.
Who knows if the former Jihaddis have turned more secular and welcoming, but Assad had plenty of chances and fucked them all up. Airstriking and chemical weapons on your own civilians will never go well.
US boots were on the ground in Iraq in massive numbers...it was a war the US was spearheading...
US involvement in Syria is a few dudes with beards in a bunker showing Mohammad a satellite picture and saying "bomb here"
Jihadis lie like H
The Taliban told dumb old Joe that they'd be nice and not stone women and let them go to school
How did that work out?
Assad us better than some fucking towel head true believer
@MuammarGaddafiDawg, true?
Yeah but unlike Afganistan and the inept ANA, in Syria there are two other legit factions - the Turkish ones and the Kurds.
So the Jihad Johnny's are going to be forced to make some concessions.
Syria also has tons of Christians, Alawites, Shias, etc. It's not all sunni cave dwellers like Afghanistan.
They are all united in their hatred of Assad, and Asssad's two dad's Russia and Iran are pretty busy and can't help out too much this time.
Now do Iran. They had Kurds too. And a strong westernized educated population. How did that work out? The commies in Russia were a small minority and yet they terrorized their way to power. The US and western press loved Khomeini and was happy to white wash him.
Lebanon had a vibrant Christian community as well. It was the Paris of the mideast
Now it's a Muslim shithole
The US completely botched Iran and Afghanistan in the 70s, no question
“This time the CIA and Special OPs will get it right, though!”
For some reason PGOS forgot to mention the fuck up of Afghanistan and Iraq from 2001- Today. Also, the liberation of Iran's hundred plus billion dollars to help fund the Houthis, Hezbollah and Hamas.
