I like how Arizona football is such an unfixable pile of shit that Jason's lies nowadays have to take it somewhere hilarious like, "I had an agent contact me saying there is a lot of buzz regarding the job opening up."
The funny thing about it is that Jedd through his comments illuminated that Dannen and the other boosters had a feel for what was going on with DeBoer, and yet when he finally left, Dannen still had no fucking plan. I thought AD's already have a list of coaches they like just in case something happens?
He literally just pulled a list of schools out that were going to be well under UW after realignment, looked up the last 2 years and sorted by wins descending, and out comes Jedd and the two Kansas coaches.
I wish Debore would have stayed. But I just don’t get the take that if UW offered more he would have stayed. If he wanted a better offer he would have countered. You never ever fail to counter if you’re interested in selling or buying anything. UW offers 8, then counter at 18. You don’t just say let’s wait. . They could have offered 15 and he would have let’s wait and then took it to Bama.
Tom Brady could have actually retired when Gisele told him to and she still would have ended up fucking her Karate instructor.
At least from my perspective, you want to see the full effort, even if it didn't entice him to stay. The UW athletic department ran their "All you all in?" campaign toward their donors and if they're going to do that you want to see them act like they're all in too.
Why do people pretend to know what happened between his camp and UW's, let alone pretend to know someone's mind? You're just making shit up; it's straight copium. Maybe he said $14,000,000 or I walk and UW said that was too much. For all we know he took his Bama offer to UW and was told TYFYS. Perhaps it was about his assistants. Bama is paying them over $9,000,000.
When Tommy Chambers was a free agent his agent told Bob Whitsett to make an offer that would blow out the candle. Whitsett fucked around and Chambers went to Phoenix
It is always about the money. Always. This idea that welp nothing they could have done it bullshit
What would it be worth to looking at Oregon in two weeks as a play in game as opposed to this fucking abortion of a fucking season
But hey they did save money and now 2026 may be special
I don't agree with all fronts but did pop into my head I know our friend Race was saying we should have offered DeBoer the moon after the first Oregon win in 2023 and it's unclear if they did. I had some pushback to that but knowing where the program is now, it would have been the move. Especially building off the year before of winning at Oregon, Apple Cup road blowout, and basically a road win against Texas. Enough was there. Especially since all of those games weren't fluky at all.
I also had DeBoer bitching about it taking him 57 minutes just to drive across the lake and get home from the office in my head too though. I would bet he really wasn't a happy cultural fit in Seattle.

One year wonder Jedd built a program to last
Pretty sure Dannen didn’t fill out and send in the warranty card when he bought Fisch
that’s not required!!!!
Can we send Jedd back and hire Cignetti?
JeddDeboerThat was stupid
He was already hired
I remember when all the Ty backers had to diminish Don James. That's where doogs hate winners came from
Wonder what @Canadawg was using as a screen name
I don't think PGOS was born yet

Should have called Dick Hurt. At least we would have won the Apple Cup.
I think PGOS is older than me and I've never logged in to DM. You're in your PLSS era right now with these takes.
Fresno should have payed Deboer and he wouldn't have left

Sometimes people leave. It sucks.
Stop living in the future!

You either get it done or you don't
UW consistently doesn't
Preponderance of evidence is that they blew it

There's process focused and outcome focused.
Us halfbrains don't have insight on the process so we are naturally outcome focused.
Given the AD who did the negotiations bailed in a hurry I think it is fair to question the process since we know the outcome.
In construction it's really obvious if the outcome is fucked up
Not that they aren't trying to over process it these days
