Fisch's biggest controllable failing was his portal recruitment for offensive linemen. One might argue that it wasn't controllable, but I think if you had thrown me in there as head coach I could have convinced guysm from Portland State and Montana State to transfer to UW. That doesn't take much skill and panache.

I'd like to think that the Jedd Fisch of November 2024, when faced with 4th and goal from the one with the game on the line against a chippy and inferior team, would NOT run option to the short side of the field with a QB who can't run. So there's that.
ATBS, the FIsch of Nov 2024 would probably throw a fade route to his shortest wide receiver on said fourth down.
