Did anyone not see that this was a hugely bad draft, and even worse trade to get the draft spot to make said bad draft? He's 5'9" and isn't Kyler Murray in any way, shape or form. Like, I'm not making this up: I absolutely called this 100%, except that I didn't think he'd make it as a starter to start this season because he was that apparently bad last year. Normally, I'm the "you never know" guy. But not with him. And Carolina gave up a Minnesota-for-Herschel Walker level of talent and draft picks to get him. Perhaps worse move all tim? Probably not, but still.
Kid was a complete Bama system product. Goes to show how good they were. I could have fucking moved the ball with that team. Apparently.
I'll say it again: it is unfathomable how bad at football so many football people seem to be. The number of misses is staggering given the time and resources that goes into it. The corporate world is way better and screening talent than are these guys. I guess that's what you get from a cohort of people who are largely, "It was either this or PE teacher."

He was hurt every year in college. Speaking of Hurts, Bryce was never the starter on a National Champ team. He came in and saved the day. Hurts returned the favor the following year in the SEC championship when Bryce was….hurt

Mac Jones played QB for the 2020 National Championship game while Young was on the bench. Young became the QB in 2021 and won the Heisman.

Which is shocking because he was such a bad passer at Alabama. I think Kiffin was the OC for that game and Sark took over for the natty. Saban visibly pissed off whenever either of them called a pass. Bo Scarborough rushing at 9.5 yds. per carry and Hurts throwing for 57 yards. What should I do?

I recently saw someone make the comparison this trade is possibly worse than the Herschel Walker trade. It gets even worse when you consider CJ Stroud was available.
Young is skinny as hell. His frame doesn’t look like he can handle getting hit at the NFL level. At least Mrs Nacho’s Bears benefit from this trade.
He's skinny and short and isn't the same athlete as Murray is on his feet. I remember people speculating about his height and saying that it was exaggerated in Bama's materials. He'd wear shoes that obviously had super thick soles and shit.
And Stroud was obviously as super gifted passer (and has ideal QB size). Again, my only point (because I couldn't care less about the NFL) is that football people are so fucking unbelievably bad at their jobs. Everyone I talked to thought Carolina was out of their minds for that move. Like, couch potato fans were able to see it, why can't an entire draft room? Lolz. I wish I could be that shitty at my job.
Dude has a build like a high school freshman. Russell Wilson and Baker Mayfield (both taller then Bryce young btw) were at least 205+ pounds.

I am not tall shaming but if you're going to play in the NFL you can't look like a make a wish foundation guy. If he was actually thicker it might've work but he's also thin.
